Do you TYG or BIG?
Whether you TYG or BIG, we want to see...in picture form...
For us "Thank You God," is both a beautiful expression of gratitude and the three most powerful words in the universe. To express gratitude verbally is Divine, to express gratitude symbolically is sublime. Thank You is not only an expression of gratitude; it can also be a blessing. This symbol on the banks of the flooding Ojai River, was drawn with the prayer to bless all those who are touched by the water.
So, send gratitude, love and blessings in your world, take a photo and send it to us. Simply draw, form, shape, mold, sculpt, the heart and TYG symbol in a non-permanent, bio-degradable way to express your gratitude for anything. Be creative in expressing your gratitude for, the beach, the mountains, the forest, your best friend, your love, whatever.

Teaching Your Children About Thanksgiving
Of course there is the historical importance of Thanksgiving with the bond between the Pilgrims and the Indians at the first Thanksgiving. However, the reasons we choose to celebrate about Thanksgiving go much deeper than being grateful for our blessings one day a year. We’re seeking to instill an “attitude of gratitude” within them so they’ll be polite with others, appreciate the things they receive, and feel happy over all.
We know that we all learn most by what is “caught,” not taught. Here are a few suggestions:
· Ask open ended questions throughout the day that would require a positive answer—and not just a one word answer. What was the coolest thing that happened today? Who was your friend today?
Have the kids say the blessing at the dinner table. In the beginning, my kids didn’t feel completely comfortable knowing what to say, but know they know it can be as simple as “Thank You God! Woo-hoo!” Don't forget your B.I.G. Journal! Try Candle Time! For years now, we all sit down with a candle. (Mom and Dad-hold the candle for the little ones!) Each person shares something they are grateful for, something they are so happy and excited now that (a goal), and who they send a blessing to.
Whether it’s noticing our blessings throughout the day, saying a mealtime blessing, or enjoying candle time, sharing gratitude with others reaps a tremendous benefit. As Principle #8 states, “I am blessed as I give and receive gratitude.
How does this benefit you? Does it give you a great idea? Be sure to let us know.
